Secretary - I'm 20 years old, and am currently attending Cal State Los Angeles majoring in Social Work with a minor in Child Development. I would love to work in the schools as some sort of liaison for foster children. I believe that is where I will be able to make the biggest impact.  I have a passion for working with children and an even bigger passion for children in the foster care system, this stems from being in the system myself. Life in the foster care system was not always great. It was lonely, scary, uncertain, and gave me a feeling of independence, but not in a positive way.  I know how hard my journey was and if I could make it just a little easier for one child in the system it would mean so much to me. Joining the Teen Trainers is my first step towards this goal.
