Honoring Bill Nolan and Courtney Marculescu
Twenty years ago, Bill Nolan and Courtney Marculescu sat on the 14th tee at San Gabriel County Club to recruit golfers to support Five Acres’ first Invitational Golf Classic. The Golf Classic was their vision and success.
 
Since that first Golf Classic in 1987, the Golf Classic has raised more than $1.5 million to support Five Acres’ services for special-needs children and their families. Stephen Bennett and Mark Weber, 2007 co-chairs, worked diligently to build on prior events' success.
Golf Classic' 20th Anniversary celebration, honoring Bill Nolan, Courtney Marculescu and their successors, was held September 17, 2007 at San Gabriel County Club. To all who helped, attended and otherwise supported this event honoring these visionaries, thank you. Your support of these men and Five Acres’ mission to serve special-needs children and families through the Golf Classic is appreciated.
