“Breaking The Cycle Of Family Violence

The holidays are especially hard for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Many of these families have fled from their homes and have very limited resources. These mothers rarely have an opportunity to purchase holiday items as they struggle to provide the basic necessities for their families. During the holidays Grace Center helps these families through our “Holiday Gift Project.”

How your contribution helps:

Through the Gift Project we help mothers give to their children. The mothers receiving counseling and advocacy at Grace Center each receive a and a gift or toy in the $20.00 range provided through your generosity so that their child may have a gift to enjoy this holiday season. Sponsors may provide the gift items off the wish list. The donated gifts are given to the mother so that she may present the gifts to her children herself. With your help, we also try to provide each mom with a $20.00 gift certificate to pamper themselves. (Target or Wal-Mart, Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Max have been some of their favorite stores.)

About our Sponsors:

Our sponsors come from an established list of previous donors who look forward to donating annually to this particular Grace Center event. Gifts will be collected and distributed to the entire women and children of the Grace Center program, within their scheduled service appointments during the weeks of December 10-21, 2007. The Grace Center Team is the coordinator of this annual event, a signature project of the Grace Center Program

We look forward to lifting the spirits of the survivors and making this holidays an extra special time for the children of the Grace Center whose lives have been touched by Family Violence. Thank you for your support.
